What is a Wellness Guide?
A Wellness Guide is like a coach or a navigator who helps you discover where you are and where you want to go. Wellness guides work on creating solutions and effecting change in regards to your eating and lifestyle habits; helping people to set and reach goals that they might otherwise not achieve without support.
Your guide will motivate and support, using their experience to provide the resources and tools that will help you to achieve your goals and to coordinate the many resources and health care options available through this and other programs. During your program, you'll be completing check-in forms and making status reports so that we may address any problems or questions during the next sessions.
Unlike traditional medicine which is geared to treat symptoms, a broader, more holistic approach is taken; one that focuses on prevention, implementation of strategies and results. The EatGreen Nutrition Wellness Guides combine therapeutic nutrition, body typing, intuitive eating techniques and lifestyle coaching as they also consider lifestyle factors when working with clients. Beyond the information you receive from your personal health profiles, you also have the option to receive personalized support from the certified Wellness Guides with group support options, too.
What's the Difference between a dietitian/nutritionist and a Wellness Guide?
