What is Personalized Nutrition Therapy? 
Functional nutrition is aimed at PREVENTION of disease and PROMOTION of wellness.  It looks at the reasons WHY symptoms exist, what's behind a certain condition...why can't you lose weight even though you are eating a moderate amount?

 Undergoing a personalized nutrition therapy program, you will be setting yourself up for success, achieving optimal health, absent other non‐nutritional complicating factors.

Well, honestly, not a lot...but, I find it humorous and it brings a smile to my face!  
And don't they say, laughter is the best medicine?

As holistic nutrition therapists and wellness guides, it is our responsibility to get to the root cause of your symptoms; what's creating the imbalances that come out as the  symptomatic reactions.  Maybe it's too much stress, not enough sleep or too few calories.  No matter what, find an outlet that will bring a smile to your face and a release to your stress.  Find what brings you joy and keep it close!
"Studies have demonstrated the benefits of humor on health.  Laughter IS the best medicine! When we laugh, we stretch the muscles in our face and body, breathe faster, and take in more oxygen. Laughing can provide an emotional and spiritual release and lower stress. A good guffaw may even strengthen the immune system and increase memory and creativity.  In a research study done at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, researchers determined that: "Laughter appears to cause the tissue that forms the inner lining of blood vessels, the endothelium,,to dilate or expand in order to increase blood flow."   According to Michael Miller, MD, Director of Preventative Cardiology at the University Medical Center: "The endothelium is the first line in the development of atherosclerosis or hardening of the arteries, so given the results of our study, it is conceivable that laughing may be important to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease."  -Misa Hopkins,,"The Root Of All Healing"

Why Complete a Personal Nutrition Profile?
A Personal Nutrition Profile is designed to identify any physiological imbalances - bio-markers that are outside of the "functional"/optimal ranges.  From the results analysis, a health professional trained in functional nutrition and develop a specific plan that will help you to optimize those scores. 

The Personal Nutrition Profiles can indicate health problems that may likely develop should the scores not be improved. 
  • To help with specific health problems 
  • For chronic weight loss resistance issues 
  • To help with mood and behavior disordersand support the associated physiological imbalances associated with eating disorders, depression and anxiety. 
  • To proactively fine-tune health and nutrition plans for continual health and wellness 
  • To maximize performance, recovery, and total wellness as it pertains to athletics. (Recommended for clients  with consistent exercise programs, but also includes anyone with high or chronic stress situations and conditions.) 
Functional Nutritional Testing 
Functional nutritional testing includes blood chemistry analysis, stool and saliva testing,  neurotransmitter and food sensitivity analysis
